Types of Wizz Air Baggage

Cabin Baggage 

Passengers can take a carry-on bag onboard for free whereas they have to pay charges for a trolley bag. However, passengers can carry a trolley bag onboard if they have WIZZ Priority or select a WIZZ Plus or WIZZ Flex bundle. 

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers can take carry-on baggage for free onboard weighing and sizing up to 10 kg and 40 x 30 x 20 cm (excluding wheels or handles). Meanwhile, these bags should be placed under the seats in front of the passenger carrying them. However, each fare class passenger can carry this baggage type onboard.

Trolly Bag

Travellers can also purchase trolly bags onboard as cabin baggage but they must have purchased WIZZ Priority or select a WIZZ Plus or WIZZ Flex bundle. Additionally, this cabin bag type’s size shouldn’t be more than 55 x 40 x 23 cm (excluding wheels or handles). Whereas, its weight shouldn’t exceed 10 kg. However, these bags must fit in the overhead compartment available above the passenger carrying them.  Meanwhile, for the bag exceeding these dimensions travellers have to pay additional fees.

Important Note: Passengers are allowed to carry some essentials like a coat or blanket.

Mobile phone, and reading material along with duty-free items purchased after passing through the security check on the flight onboard for free.

Checked-in Baggage 

Passengers can take up to 6 pieces of checked baggage during the flight travel. However, the basic fare doesn’t include any checked luggage allowance. Meanwhile, passengers having WIZZ Go and WIZZ Plus bundle fares get this baggage included in their ticket price. Additionally, passengers can carry bags weighing up to 10 kg, 20 kg, 26 kg, or 32 kg. Whereas, its size dimensions shouldn’t exceed 149 x 119 x 171 cm without adding handles/wheels. 

Important Note: However, the wheels on each baggage type shouldn’t add more than 5 cm to the size of the bag. 

Restricted Items on Wizz Air Baggage

Wizz Air Cabin Baggage Restricted things

• Travellers should make sure that the liquid must be in a container with a maximum volume of 100 ml.
• All liquid containers having a maximum volume of 100 ml should properly fit into a transparent, resealable, 1-litre plastic bag sizing up to 20 x 20 cm.

• Meanwhile, the passengers should present these plastic bags separately during security checks.
• However, if any of the carried liquid doesn’t meet the specified requirements will be disposed of at airport security. 

Baggage Allowance for Children

• Baggage regulations for children aged between 2-14 years are the same as for adult travellers.
